  • Record-breaking Arrivals: Qatar welcomed an astounding 4.05 million visitors in 2023, setting a new record for arrivals and showcasing the increasing popularity of our nation as a top tourist destination.
  • Significant Year-on-Year Growth: Full-year arrivals experienced a remarkable increase of 58% compared to the previous year, demonstrating the substantial growth trajectory of Qatar’s tourism sector and its ability to attract visitors from across the globe.
  • Top Countries: The top ten countries with visitors into the State of Qatar are Saudi Arabia, India, Germany, USA, UK , Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, U.A.E, and Pakistan.

These achievements reflect the collective efforts and strategic initiatives undertaken by Qatar’s tourism sector to enhance visitor experiences, promote cultural exchange, and showcase the diverse attractions of our nation.

QATAR’S TOURISM SECTOR IN 2024

Qatar’s tourism sector is set to contribute QAR 90.8 billion to the economy this year, representing a significant 11.3% of total revenues, according to the World Travel & Tourism Council’s 2024 Economic Impact Research.

This comes after a record-breaking year for tourism, with job creation expected to surpass 334,500 positions, accounting for 15.8% of the total workforce.

Spending by international travelers is projected to increase substantially, with QAR 69.6 billion expected from international tourists and QAR 12 billion from domestic travelers, as reported by the WTTC.
