Fatima Bint Mubarak Women’s Endurance Race

Rider Laila Al Marzouqi, won the title of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates”, for the private stables for the ability for women for a distance of 100 km, which was held “Saturday” in the Emirates International Endurance Village – Al Wathba, with the participation of 104 female riders representing various stables in the country.

 

The race was held with the support and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, and was organized by the Emirates Global Capacity Village, in cooperation and coordination with the Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation, and was held with a pricing system, where the organizing committee has the right to buy any of the participating horses after passing the vet. Tests.
The race was attended by guests of the 12th World Arabian Horse Racing Forum, which is held at the end of the 12th edition of the His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Racing Festival for Purebred Arabian Horses.
The rider Laila Al-Marzouqi performed exceptionally well, leading the race from start to finish on horseback “Catch Me Bullet” for Al-Kamda Stables, covering the total distance of the race with a time of 3:31:02 hours, and an average speed of 28.43 km/h.
Shamma Daoud Ahli came in second place riding “Tonki de Bo Mia” for “AS” stables, with a time of 3:37:48 hours, while Katina Lawrence came in third place, riding “Kalmina” for “TNT” stables, with a time of 3 hours. :39:20 An hour.
The race was strong and secret, and the race champion was able to isolate herself completely by widening the difference from the start, leaving the rest of the jockeys to compete for the title of second place, especially in the last stage, in which she was confined to 5 jockeys.
Laila Al-Marzouqi expressed her great happiness at achieving the precious title for the second time in a row, and said that despite her uniqueness in the lead, the race witnessed strong competition, with all the jockeys keen to achieve good positions.
She said she was proud of this title, which bears the name of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates,” the first supporter of women’s empowerment through sports, noting that Her Highness’s initiatives contributed to the great development in women’s races in the field of ability.
The race champion thanked and appreciated Al Kamda Stables and all work teams, especially Coach Mansour Ibrahim, for the great support that contributed to achieving this title with all merit.
