Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs takes part in 42nd GITEX Global 2022

In line with its commitment to familiarising members of the community with its initiatives to raise political awareness and promote a culture of political participation, the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs (MFNCA) has announced its decision to participate in the 42^nd edition of GITEX Global, set to be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre starting from October 10, 2022, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai.

The Ministry will be setting up its dedicated booth within the Digital Government Pavilion to showcase its interactive website and the information it provides regarding its services and new digital initiatives, such as the Electoral Process Journey and the Electoral Centres Map initiatives.

The MFNCA will also be highlighting the advantages of the electronic voting devices, underlining the features available on the National Elections Committee (NEC) website and the information it provides for those wishing to run for membership of the Federal National Council, as well as for voters looking to learn about the electoral process.

Visitors will also be able to explore the ‘Empowerment Online Newsletter’ and Political Participation magazine, which covers various topics in its digital and print versions, in an effort to raise political awareness and knowledge of parliamentary work in the UAE, as well as the achievements that the sector has made since its initial stages, which coincide with the establishment of the UAE.

This year’s GITEX hosts major technology companies and government entities, in addition to tech institutions and startups from 26 sectors. The agenda includes deep learning sessions, workshops, and live demonstrations.
