FILMRISE ACQUIRES EXCLUSIVE DIGITAL RIGHTS TO ALL FOUR SEASONS OF ELECTRIC ENTERTAINMENT’S HIT FANTASY SERIES “THE OUTPOST”
FilmRise, the New York City-based film and television studio and streaming network, has announced the acquisition of Electric Entertainment’s hit CW series, “The Outpost.” The fantasy-adventure drama ran for four years (2018-2021) on the network. FilmRise has obtained exclusive U.S. digital distribution rights including AVOD, FAST, and SVOD. The announcement was made today jointly at MIPCOM by Danny Fisher, CEO of FilmRise and Dean Devlin, CEO of Electric Entertainment.
Danny Fisher comments, “We are thrilled to provide the vast and avid fan base of ‘The Outpost’ with the chance to stream the series across various platforms. Additionally, viewers can enjoy the entire franchise in one go, completely free of charge. “
Dean Devlin continues, “’The Outpost’ holds a special place as one of our most cherished TV series and I am delighted that we can reach an even wider audience through FilmRise’s extensive distribution network. During its initial broadcast, the series garnered a dedicated following. This partnership is poised to amplify that support further.”
“The Outpost” follows Talon (Jessica Green,“Ash vs. Evil Dead”) years after her village is destroyed by brutal mercenaries. Talon travels to a lawless fortress to track them down. On her journey, she discovers a supernatural power she must learn to control to defend the world against a dictator. The series also stars Jake Stormoen(“Extinct”), Imogen Waterhou (“Nocturnal Animals”), Andrew Howard (“Bates Motel”), Anand Deasi-Barochia (“Emmerdale”), Reece Ritchie (“Hercules,”), Aaron Fontaine (“Doctors”) and Izuka Hoyle (“Mary Queen of Scotts”).
FilmRise will distribute all four seasons of “The Outpost.” There are 49 hour-long episodes; 10 in Season One and 13 in Seasons Two, Three, and Four. The deal was negotiated by Jonitha Keymoore, Head of Content, FilmRise and Steve Saltman, Head of Domestic Sales at Electric Entertainment.

A new spin-off series, entitled “The Librarians: The Next Chapter,” is currently in post-production for TNT. “The Outpost,” which premiered its 4th season on The CW in 2021, is now streaming on Amazon Freevee.
Electric’s Feature Films have included “Bad Samaritan” starring David Tennant and Robert Sheehan, and most recently “The Deal” starring Sumalee Montano and Emma Fischer. Electric also acquires, distributes and sells worldwide rights to Electric’s produced and acquired content, as well as theatrical films from around the world, including “Blood On The Crown,” starring Harvey Keitel and Malcolm McDowell, and Rob Reiner’s historical biopic “LBJ,” starring Woody Harrelson.
