توافرت معلومات لدى مفرزة استقصاء الشمال في وحدة الدرك الاقليمي، عن قيام أشخاص بتفريغ عشر علب كرتون من الحجم الكبير تحتوي على أدوية مهربة من تركيا الى لبنان، من داخل شاحنة معدة للنقل الخارجي.
الساعة 15,00 من تاريخ 29/01/2018 ونتيجة التحريات والاستقصاءات المكثفة رصدت دورية من المفرزة الشاحنة وهي نوع مرسيدس رقم 352156/م في أثناء تفريغ حمولتها في محلة سقي التبانة/ طرابلس، وتمكنت من توقيف لبنانيين وسوري مشتركين بتهريب الأدوية.
بالتحقيق معهم اعترفوا بإحضار الأدوية بمساعدة شخص تركي بواسطة شاحنة أحدهم التي شحنها بحرا إلى مرفأ طرابلس لقاء مبلغ 700 $، بعد أن قام بإخفاء الأدوية داخل خزانات المازوت والمياه والعدة.
بناء لإشارة القضاء المختص ترك الجميع بسندات اقامة فيما سلمت المضبوطات الى المديرية العامة للجمارك، وإحالة الملف لمكتب مكافحة الجرائم المالية وتبييض الأموال في وحدة الشرطة القضائية للتوسع بالتحقيق.
