ELECTRIC ENTERTAINMENT SELLS SEASONS 1 & 2 OF HIT ORIGINAL SERIES FOR SYFY’S “THE ARK” IN TWO ADDITIONAL TERRITORIES
Electric Entertainment, the Los Angeles-
based production and distribution company, announces it has closed deals in two
additional territories, one with Palatin Media and the other with Nova
Broadcasting Group. The deals include broadcast and digital rights to seasons 1 and
2 of Electric’s original hit series, “The Ark.” The announcement was made today by
Sonia Mehandjiyska, Head of International Distribution for Electric Entertainment.

Palatin Media has acquired SVOD & Fast rights in German Speaking Europe and
Nova Broadcasting Group has acquired free TV rights for Bulgaria. Both deals
consist of 12 episodes from each season.
The critically acclaimed sci-fi series had its season 2 premiere on SYFY in July 2024.
“The Ark” takes place one hundred years in the future where planetary colonization
missions have begun as a necessity to help secure the survival of the human race. The
first of these missions on a spacecraft known as Ark One encounters a catastrophic event
causing massive destruction and loss of life. With more than a year left to go before
reaching their target planet, a lack of life-sustaining supplies and loss of leadership, the
remaining crew must become the best versions of themselves to stay on course and
survive.
Sonia Mehandjiyska, Head of International Distribution for Electric Entertainment, and
Bernd Schlötterer, Managing Director negotiated the deal for Palatin Media. Sonia
Mehandjiyska negotiated the deal with Nelly Stoynova at Nova Broadcasting Group for
NOVA.
