Maryam Kareem, Champion of the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Endurance Cup

For the third consecutive time, rider Maryam Ali Kareem, aboard Hamour du Montel of Al Kamda Stables, secured the title of the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak “Mother of the Nation” Endurance Cup, designated for private stables in the ladies’ category—marking her fifth overall title. The 120 km race was held in Al Wathba with the participation of 105 riders, and was organized by the Emirates International Endurance Village in cooperation and coordination with the Equestrian and Racing Federation under the rating system.

Maryam Ali Kareem won the title with a time of 4:23:14 hours, at an average speed of 27.35 km/h. Second place went to rider Kawthar Zaitoun, aboard SM Fa Juanita of Al Kamda Stables, with a time of 4:31:46 hours. Third place was claimed by rider Amina Al Baloushi, aboard At Dale Range Kitty of Al Maghawir 2 Stables, finishing in 4:31:47 hours.

The winners were crowned by:
Lieutenant General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, President of the Equestrian and Racing Federation;
Noura Al Suwaidi, Secretary-General of the General Women’s Union and President of the UAE Women’s Sports Federation;
Musallam Al Ameri, Director General of the Emirates International Endurance Village in Al Wathba;
Christina Abu Deia, Director of Endurance Racing at the International Equestrian Federation;
Abdullah Majid Al Ali, Director General of the National Archives and Library;
Ali Al Dhaheri, Director of the Office of H.H. Sheikh Diab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan;
Dr. Abdullah Al Sheikh, Chairman of the Endurance Committee at the Equestrian Federation;
Mohammed Ali Al Hadhrami, Events Director at the Village;
and Lara Sawaya, Executive Director of Sponsorship and Marketing at the Village.

Musallam Al Ameri affirmed that the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak “Mother of the Nation” Endurance Cup for private stables in the ladies’ category continues to reinforce its prestigious status, embodying the UAE’s pioneering efforts in empowering women in competitive sports through the broad participation of riders from stables across the country.

Al Ameri extended his gratitude and appreciation to the wise leadership for its support of the development of UAE equestrian sports, and for providing all necessary capabilities, care, and attention to various related events, considering the sport’s deep-rooted national heritage.

Mohammed Al Hadhrami praised the tremendous efforts of the village’s teams across technical and veterinary specialties, and their commitment to applying best international practices in race organization, in line with the strategic vision to integrate modern technology in race management locally and internationally.
Lara Sawaya noted that the efforts of partners and sponsors significantly contributed to the success of the various events, including the recent Union Day Cup, through innovative initiatives that attracted notable attention from visitors and spectators during the current season.

For her part, race champion Maryam Kareem expressed her gratitude and appreciation to H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, for her support and encouragement of Emirati women, and for granting riders the opportunity to compete in a race that proudly bears Her Highness’ name.

Accompanying activities during the event included displays of heritage products, children’s entertainment games, and sponsor booths.
