ART OF GUITAR PRESENTS EXCLUSIVE VIP LOWDEN EVENT WITH GEORGE LOWDEN IN DUBAI
Courtyard, Dubai – Art of Guitar, a disrupCve, innovaCve, and fully integrated, music concept, that has
established itself as the largest retailer of rare and vintage musical instruments and memorabilia in the
enCre region, is delighted to announce an extraordinary VIP event in collaboraCon with the legendary
luthier, George Lowden. Taking place on Saturday, May 27, from 6 to 8 pm, this exclusive gathering will
offer guitar enthusiasts an unparalleled opportunity to witness the unveiling of two excepConally rare
guitars created exclusively for Art of Guitar.
AUendees will have the privilege of experiencing a truly memorable evening as George Lowden himself
graces the gallery to present these extraordinary instruments. The event will commence with an
introducCon from Art of Guitar’s esteemed founder, Rick Vlemmiks, who will set the stage for an
enchanCng evening of music and craWsmanship. George Lowden, renowned for his mastery in guitar
design and construcCon, will share insights into his creaCve process and the inspiraCon behind these
remarkable guitars. George is the founder CEO of Lowden guitars, a high end, made in Northern
Ireland, world leading guitar brand, that constructs thousands of guitars per year under the watchful
eye of George. In addiCon George builds a very small amount of guitars himself; he designs these
models in collaboraCon with preferred partners such as Art of Guitar, selects the wood types, hand
craWs the inlays and abalone embellishments and ‘voices’ the guitars – a process that results in the
finest acousCcally opCmized instruments possible. Although such a small number of guitars are built
by George, he has collaborated directly with Rick of Art of Guitar, to design, and build, the ‘perfect
instruments’. And these guitars will presented to a select number of VIP customers in the flagship
Gallery in the Courtyard Dubai.
The highlight of the evening will be the unveiling of these two super rare guitars, showcasing the
excepConal arCstry and meCculous aUenCon to detail that George Lowden is known for. These
instruments are the epitome of craWsmanship and represent a true collaboraCon between the
visionary luthier and the esteemed gallery. A professional musician will also play the instruments,
covering a range of classic, DADGAD tuned Irish ballads and other select pieces carefully chosen to
highlight the impeccable sonic range and capabiliCes of these excepConal instruments.
Following the presentaCon, aUendees will have the opportunity to parCcipate in a capCvaCng Q&A
session with George Lowden, allowing them to delve deeper into the art and science of guitar making.
