Bassma association launches the Family Festival!
On the occasion of the World Family Month, Bassma organized the first edition of its Family Festival on the 1st of May, 2023, inthe premises of its new project “Sarwa by Bassma”, Taanayel, Lebanon.
The event gathered 750 persons among them many social personalities, members from the municipal council of the municipality of Zahle as well as from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Zahle, in addition to friends of Bassma who came to support Sarwa’s project, while enjoying a memorable day with family members!
The event which objective is to raise funds for the new project,started with a Mass to pray together for all families, celebrated by the Jesuit priests from the Taanayel convent.
Holy Mass was followed by lunch at the food court then educational workshops for children, kermess, games and animation for the children, inflatables, playground and beautiful exhibition stands!
Sarwa by Bassma is a project that aims to establish a socially and environmentally conscious value-chain for agriculture, and agri-tourism while working on the social reintegration of rural families through capacity-building programs.
Bassma was founded in 2002, and believes that strong families are the foundation of a strong society. By empowering destitute families and helping them achieve self-sufficiency, we are one step closer to breaking the cycle of poverty.
