concludes its activities in Abu Dhabi

in conclusion of the work of the Twelfth International Forum for Purebred Arabian Racing Horses Forum, which was held in the capital, Abu Dhabi, from November 30th to December 1st , 2022, all the participants sent cable of thanks to His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court.

They affirmed that the vision, support and interest of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan had a great impact in supporting the Arabian horses and transferring them to the ranks of the world and paving the way for them to achieve great successes and overcome challenges and facilitate all difficulties in order to support the march of the Arabian horse and raise its status by encouraging owners and breeders to increase production Participation in the races through a well-studied scientific vision, and the global forum that was held annually for 12 years was one of these ways to achieve the goal, as a continuation of the path and approach of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul.
The forum culminated its work at the conclusion of its sessions at the Dusit Thani Hotel, with a set of proposals, all of which aim to promote the Arabian horse in general, with the participation of (300) personalities and hundreds of experts, owners and breeders from all over the world in all disciplines, representing 90 countries.
The global forum was held under the auspices of the fourteenth edition of the Racing Festival of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and in conjunction with the celebration of the 51st Union Day.
Fourth session
The sessions continued on the second day of the conference on 12/01/2022, starting at ten in the morning, with the fourth session entitled “Media and Public Relations” and moderated by Jonathan Horowitz, with the participation of Debbie Bert, Tawfiq Muhammad, Derek Thompson, Abdullah Khalifa, Khaled Al Muhairi, and Reynolds Villa. , and Fathi, and it revolved around improving the performance of this sport, and the role of the festival in interconnecting peoples, educating and introducing Arabian horses through races and conferences.
The speakers concluded the need to transfer information in the best way and balance between the media and public relations to share the truth, shed light on Arabian horses, and transfer their culture to new generations, through specialized channels, and among the recommendations is to continue the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the growth of this sport .


“Mother of the Emirates” inspiring women

Women led the races in the fifth session, and it was moderated by Lara Sawaya, about the challenges and difficulties they faced and the experiences they went through, and the reasons for success. Saleha Al Ghurair, Dr. Dalal Al-Kathiri, Elizabeth Bernard, Celine Boubacher, Maitha Belabida Al-Suwaidi, Madawi Al-Qahtani, and Mary Ong Burdett.
The session witnessed an extensive discussion on women’s participation, and the speakers agreed on the great role played by the International Festival in empowering women in racing, with the support of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak.
The Emirati women participating in the symposium confirmed that Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates,” was the inspiration for them, as she is the main supporter of women’s empowerment in various aspects, and women have proven themselves in the Emirates and the Gulf.
The speakers unanimously agreed that the role of women is very important and that they are an active pillar and an influential role, despite the challenges and suffering in their beginnings to obtain the respect and acceptance of professionals for them, and they thanked the festival that brought them together in this important forum under one roof, and gave them the opportunity to be present.
In turn, Lara Sawaya thanked Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, stressing that her Highness’s support for equestrian sport was a motive for the participation of the first two knights from the Emirates (the pilgrims’ fragment and Fatima Al-Marri) in the first amateur race alongside their sisters from Oman and Qatar in the Netherlands.

Sixth session
The sixth session, entitled Social Media in Spreading the Sport of Arabian Horse Racing, concluded at 3:30, and was moderated by Omar Al-Jaghiman, with the participation of Khaled Al-Rahoumi, Musallam Qattan, Muhammad Al-Rawas, Abdullah Al-Hamiani, Alia Zaid Al-Otaibi, and Gary Capwell.
The speakers agreed on the need to share ideas, attract young people to the sport of horse racing, develop tools through social media, and invest in opportunities for races and conferences and make them more influential in transmitting the live image so that the work becomes more successful.
Keeping pace with the development of the content industry to deliver it to the recipient in an acceptable manner that keeps pace with the system interested in the purebred Arabian horse industry through all social media platforms, and providing a unified database.

At eight o’clock in the evening, a reception for the guests was held at Dusit Thani Hotel’s pool terrace.
On December 4, the eighth edition of the Crown Jewel of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, with a prize of 5 million dirhams, will be launched at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club.
