THE CURTAIN CAME DOWN TO THE MEGA AL MARMOOM PRELIMINARY 2022

In line with the directives of the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin
Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice
President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, and the concern of Their
Highnesses the Sheikhs Members of the UAE Federal Supreme Council, and Rulers of
the Emirates, and under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin
Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Chairman of The
Executive Council of Dubai Government, and with keen follow-up of His Highness
Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media
Council, President of the UAE National Olympic Committee, The Al Marmoom
Preliminary Camel Races, held in memory of the late Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al
Maktoum , has come to an end after witnessing a huge number of participants, intense
challenges, and fair competition among the competitors from the UAE and the GCC
Countries as well, who sent their strong camels to make them ready for the coming
competitive festivals after gaining the required stamina and strength.

WITNESSES THE DISTINGUISHED PERFORMANCE DISPLAYED BY ZABEEL CAMELS
The amazing finale of Al Marmoom Preliminary Camel Races, i.e. “The Immortal
Generous Gesture of the Late Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum,” was organised
in memory of the late. The tournament activities were attended by Sheikh Maktoum Bin
Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who witnessed the distinguished performance
displayed by Zabeel Camels, enabling them to dominate the race and collect the eight
cars allocated.
The final laps were allocated for Laqaiya and Jatha’a Categories, for camels owned by
their Highness the Sheikhs and Tribesmen as well. Here are the outcomes of the final day.

The conclusion of the tournament witnessed the dominance of Zabeel Camels owned
by Sheikh Maktoum Bin Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and trained by the talented
trainer Rashid Mohammed Maroshid, who follows his late father's historical path;
smartly sweeping all eight laps allocated during the final race and grasped the first four
luxury cars that were allocated for this category, when the promising and talented
trainer Bin Maroshid sent his four stables’ stars to vie the challengers sweeping the
allocated four laps through” Ashahiniya” in lap one for Laqaiya Abkar, “ Shaheen” in lap
for Laqaiya Jeadan, ” Ashahiniya” in lap three for Laqaiya Abkar and “ Shaheen” in lap
four for Laqaiya Jeadan. Lap two witnessed the best time of 05:53:02 minutes recorded
by “ Shaheen”.

This spectacular success achieved by Zabeel Camels was confirmed through the huge
victory recorded in this category, when Zabeel's trainer Rashid Mohammed Maroshid
didn’t grant any chance of failure to hinder his march of winning, when he strongly
completed the super hat trick, snatching the four laps allocated for Jatha’a Category,
and receiving the four cars. These four historical victories were accomplished via
Ashahiniya” in lap one for Jatha’a Abkar, “ Shaheen” in lap for Jatha’a Jeadan, ”
Ashahiniya” in lap three for Jatha’a Abkar and “ Shaheen” in lap four for Jatha’a
Jeadan. Lap eighth witnessed the best time of 07:26:06 minutes recorded by “
Shaheen”

Today and on the day of glory and fame, we really enjoyed the brilliant performances
displayed by the champions’ camels, challenging and competing to seize one of the
lucrative awards presented by the organizing committee. The first four lucky owners in
the two categories traveled home in a luxury car. In the first session dedicated to
Laqaiya Category, we watched in the first lap for Local Laqaiya Abkar the first car
traveled to Al Ain, when it was seized by “ Lafha” owned by Sultan Sewaid Zayed
Sewaid Al Mansouri, the second car key was snatched by “ Jood” owned by Ali Saeed
Salim Al Zarri. The speedy -camel “Al Dheeb” owned by Mohammed Al Hazmi Ghannas
Al Amri, rapidly seized the third car recording the best time of 07:29:00 minutes. Lap
four for Hybrid Jatha’a Jeadan, watched “ Walm” grant his owner Amir Mohammed
Zayed Al Mansouri, a new luxury car.

The second session was specified for Jatha’a Category, and in the first lap for Local
Jatha’a Abkar, we witnessed the domination of the veteran Ahmed Mattar Majid Tarish
Al Khaiyali when he sent “Al Azoom” handing him the first elegant car. In lap two for
Hybrid Jatha’a Abkar, we watched the task was accomplished rapidly by the fastest “
Mohimma” granting her owner Masoud Rashid Mohammed Al Faheeda Al Marri the
second car, recording the best time of 09:09:02 minutes. Lap three for Local Jatha’a
Jeadan was won by “Al Shamsi” owned by Salim Obaid Bel Halous Al Amri and
received the third car key. In lap four dedicated to Hybrid Jatha’a Jeadan was seized by
“Fawaz” granting his owner Mani Ali Mohammed Hamad AlShamsi the last luxury car.

Today and for the first time, the tournament has witnessed the best time has been
recorded two times, the first best time of 07:40:00 minutes was recorded in lap three by
“ Jalmouda” owned by Al-Tailat Camels and trained by Salim Mussalam Ghanzool, and
the second best time of 09:11:05 minutes was recorded in lap four by “Majd” owned by H.H, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum registering 07:40:00
minutes, both laps were provided with elegant watches. From the beginning of the race,
the Al Asifa Camels wasted no time when we watched the mighty trainer Geyath Al
Hillali sending his magnificent camels displaying a brilliant performance through
“Ashahiniya” and “Shaheen” to winning the first two main laps, for Local Jatha’a Abkar,
and Local Jatha’a Jeadan, and snatching two watches.

All participating stables sent their guns seeking to induct their names in the Al
Marmoom Camel Track Hall of Fame Champions because any camel that he had a
chance to run on Al Marmoom was a winner regardless of the result.The prominent
Qatari owner Saad Jarallah Faheed Al Fihaidi Al Marri, won the first watch designated
for Local Jatha’a Abkar through “ Shawaheen”, and the fastest Hybrid Jatha’a Abkar “
Najwa ” presented her owner Mohammed Abdulla Bin Ghulaizah Al GHaffli with the
second watch after crossing the finishing line in a brilliant timing estimated by 09:11:05
minutes.” Al Jukar” owned by Salih Hamad Shilyouwih Al Amri, seized the third watch,
and Salim Mohammed Al Katabi won the fourth watch that was allocated for Hybrid
Jatha’a Jeadan via “ Nasi”.

The next batch of the stylish four watches, designated for the first four laps, Local
Laqaiya Abkar, Local Laqaiya Jeadan, Hybrid Laqaiya Abkar, and Hybrid Laqaiya
Jeadan, were respectively seized by “ Ashahiniya” owned by Zabeel it also recorded the
best time of 05:53:01 minutes,” Jarnas” owned by Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin
Rashid Al Maktoum managed to win lap two. Lap three and four witnessed the strong
emergence of The Al-Tailat Camels from the Kingdom of Bahrain trained by Salim
Mussalam Ghanzool snatching the other two watches through “ Harbah” and “
Shaheen” they also won another two laps. Camels owned by Sheikh Hamdan Bin

Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum won one lap, Saih Assalam Camels seized three
laps, Zabeel Camels three laps, and those camels owned by Sheikh Mohammed Bin
Butti Al Hamid snatched two laps.

On the 15 October, there are two sessions, the morning session for tribesmen
consisted of 16 laps designated for Laqaiya- 05 Km, and the afternoon one of 14 laps
for camels owned by their Highness the Sheikhs, Laqaya- 04 Km. The first four laps in
each session were ornamented by fashionable watches. The first four laps were
allocated for Local Laqaiya Abkar, Hybrid Laqaiya Abkar, Local Laqaiya Jeadan and
Hybrid Laqaiya Jeadan. The first four watches were worn by the luckiest four winners,
headed by Awad Khalifa Bin Zahra Al Khaile via “ Ghazwah”, followed by Ali Salim
Sunaid Mohammed Al Duaiya, through “ Showda”,”Maleeh “ grant his owner Salim Nae
Salim Ghafflii the third watch, and “ Muhawish “ presented his owner Ahmed
Mohammed Bin Rawyia Al Khaiyali, the fourth watch. Lap number four watched the
speedy “Muhawish” beat its rivals by reaching the finishing line in 07:34:09 minutes.
